Dunwoody Chapter Cotillion classes will be held at

Appropriate Class Dress

Girls: will wear “Sunday or dinner clothes.” Dresses, skirts or jumpers and blouses are appropriate. Pants, denim clothes or tennis shoes are not appropriate. Girls must wear white gloves. They will be available for purchase for $10 at the first Cotillion Class.

Boys: will wear a coat and tie with dress shoes.

* Western Night – Western night the dress is casual. Students may wear denim, tennis shoes or boots and other appropriate western attire.

** Winter Dance – Winter Dance is for the students only. This is a fun-filled night of games and prizes. It helps our students learn to feel more comfortable in Social Situations.

NOTE: In case of timing conflicts, a student may attend a class of the same grade from a different chapter or school, but please contact the director at 770-312-3999 prior to making a change.

7th Grade Dining Out Experience Workshop

To continue the cotillion experience we offer our 7th & 8th grade Dogwood Cotillion Students the opportunity to attend an optional* dining workshop. We will start with a receiving line and continue through a formal 4-course dinner.

  • Place cards
  • Table conversation
  • Excusing yourself from the table
  • When to rise at the table
  • Where to place your napkin when you’re finished dining
  • What to do when you dislike certain foods
  • How to eat difficult foods
  • Passing foods and when to “reach”
  • All those utensils and when to use them
  • What to do and say at the end of a meal
